IABC Communications Assistant Vacancy
Part-Time, Remote Communications Assistant (approximately 8 hours per month)
Reports to: President
This role supports IABC Barbados by assisting with key communication tasks related to its monthly networking sessions, bi-monthly professional development events, and the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The workload is approximately 1-2 hours per function per month, focusing on content creation, outreach, social media, event promotion, and administrative support.
This role focuses on keeping IABC Barbados’ social media pages active outside of events, increasing membership, and strengthening IABC’s reputation as the go-to organization for communications professionals.
- Content Creation & Public Relations (VP of Communication) – Assist with drafting news releases, articles, and communication materials to support IABC Barbados’ activities. Assist in updating social media platforms and website content to maintain visibility and engagement.
- Member Engagement & Outreach (VP of Membership) – Assist with outreach efforts to engage current members and communicate with potential new members.
- Event & Professional Development Promotion (VP of Professional Development) – Assist in preparing and sharing promotional materials for events and professional development initiatives.
- Administrative & Reporting Support (VP Administration & VP Finance) – Assist with organizing communication records and compiling brief reports on outreach efforts.
